GREEN/VERT/VERDE - Environmentally Inspired

"GREEN/VERT/VERDE - Environmentally Inspired" is an invitational art exhibit about renewal and recycling.
Each of the twelve artists in this group show has the freedom to interpret the title through their art,
telling the viewer what is environmentally inspiring.

Recycled metal, endangered species, and repurposed materials are all themes incorporated in this exhibit.
Green as the color found in landscapes and nature is also depicted by some artists.

This exhibit is presented by the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley, "The Voice of the Arts",
in The Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.....



The Hillcrest Center is located at 403 W Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, 91360...... GREEN/VERT/VERDE will take place July 8- September 20, 2010.
An Artists' Reception will take place Saturday, August 7, from 4-6 pm.
The reception is free of charge and open to the public.

Co-curators of the Galleria are Thousand Oaks artists, Janet Amiri and Connie Tunick.
Twelve artists from the Los Angeles area have been invited to participate.
They are Pong Apinyavat, Simi Valley; Susanne Belcher, Tarzana; Josiane Cohanim, Santa Monica; Michele DePuy Leavitt, Winnetka;
Dakotah Fitzgerald and Valeria Stevenson, Westlake Village; Pamela Fong and Connie Tunick, Thousand Oaks; Darlene Mellein, Sherman Oaks;
Lisa Semler, Malibu:Sean Sobczak, Los Angeles; and Melinda Warren, Hidden Hills.

The show can be viewed daily from 9 am until 5 pm, and there is no charge.
